    Re: error when running public reports

    Click the "View Sheduled Jobs" link, does that return?

    You need to check the report server name from the em manager. It needs to match exatcly what it has there with your glog.properties. Please post you glog.properties file and I'll check to see if anything else in your reports config looks incorrect.

      Re: error when running public reports

      Hi Nick,

      The "View Sheduled Jobs" link is not working, it just stays on in the current page itself.

      Also i have attached the glog.properties file with this. I have repalced the server name with "xxx".

      Regards
      Arun.

        Re: error when running public reports

        report_feature=true
        p_reports_server=REP_xxx.COM
        p_reports_out_dir=/otm55/rptapache/htdocs
        reports_server_fqdn=http://xxx:7777/reports/rwservlet
        report_server_url=http://xxx:81

        ok your p_resports_server doesn't appear to be correct. Check your em manager and see what the rep looks like. Also the reports_server_fqdn and report_server_url need to have the same url as where your reports server is located. Have you also verified that Oracle Reports is listening on port 7777 and not some other port?

            The EM manager a web interface to access Oracle components. It should be listening on a specific port like 1080. The person who installed this should know what port and login to use. The userid is usually ias_admin and the password is specified when you install the instance.

                This validates that that parameter is correct. It has nothing to do with the p_reports_server. You need to verify that you have this correct by going to the em manager.

                    Re: error when running public reports

                    Nick,

                    We logged into the em manager and it shows the reports server is up and running. Also the server name is the same of what it has in the glog.properties file.

                    But still we are facing the same problem while running reports. I had attached the screenshot of the em console and the properties file.

                    Kindly help me out where i went wrong.

                      Re: error when running public reports

                      The report server id is not the same. You have

                      p_reports_server=REP_xxx.COM

                      Yet I see in the EM manager OAS_HOME at the end. You need to put in the exact string as well as the upper case and lower case.

                      Also for the future in order for me to help you out fully instead of just guessing, you need to keep the entire screenshots and properties files intact otherwise you won't be getting a lot of help here, just guesswork.

                        Re: error when running public reports

                        Nick,

                        I understand Nick, since its contains all those official server informations i just edited it.

                        And we have now edited the properties file to the same as it is in the em console. Does a server restart neccessary to make these changes take effect?

                        Regards

                            Nick,

                            We have changed the properties file and made a server restart.

                            Now iam able to view the scheduled jobs , but when i try to run any reports it shows a different error that it cant able to open the file.

                            REP-110: Unable to open file 'orders_by_pickup_stop'.
                            REP-1070: Error while opening or saving a document.
                            REP-0110: Unable to open file 'orders_by_pickup_stop'.

                            I had attached the screenshot.

                            Any advice/ help?

                              Re: error when running public reports

                              You'll need to refer to the admin guide section about installing and configuring Oracle reports. You haven't configured the location for where the the reports are located in your reports.conf file. You also need to create a new entry in your cgicmd.dat file. After you change these you'll need to do a restart of your opmnctl for the changes to take.
