    Re: User Favorites

    Hi,

You only assign favorites to the user which you use at that moment. So user specific.

I don't follow your comment/question about auto complete.

      Re: User Favorites

      Hi, Bob

thanks for both ur replies ...

my question on the auto complete was that say if we were to create san diego store as the user fav location. When creating the user pref if we select the table name "location" and then enter SAN only and click "f" OTM does not fetch the matching records... only when we enter the full location name and cklick "v" does otm display the matching result to select and create the fav.....

is this a standard feature or should it suggest the matching results on typing "SAN"....

also would be obliged if u could send me a copy of the SCEM guide...

      thanks in advance!!

        hi

        F is for finder
        L is what you need.

Type the first few letters then click the L and a list of results will appear for you to choose one from.

          Re: User Favorites

          Hi,

Ian is right, you have to use "l" for getting a list for every location starting with "SAN".

The autocomplete does work in my instance of OTM5.5. When I type "SAN", I get a autocomplete list with only "SAN" because it is the only location that starts with that.

Sending the SCEM guide will be impossible. It is way too much and I don;t have it digital.

          Best regards,

          Bob

              Re: User Favorites

              rj

It might be that your location XID record has not been recorded in the database in Uppercase. It's also possible that the Location XID is different from the Location GID.
Both of the above can occur when loading data via CSV or XML.

The searchs always Uppercase your criteria before searching (so you cannot search for a lowercase character) - and they are case sensative.

Another possibility is that the Location XID may have another character before the "SAN" such as a space.

When using what you call Autocomplete (really a Starts with search) clicking on the "l" will return all locations begining with the string you specify

              Hope this helps
